API available

The content of this website is available through an API (Application Programming Interface).

In order to use the rx-genes.com API you will require a key. Use the contact form to request a key. Once a request is received, we will send you an API user agreement to complete. After you return a properly completed agreement to info@rx-genes.com, we will send you a key.

Here is a link explaining how to use the API. There is also an example of a GET request. When the genes endpoint is queried, the response is a JSON dictionary that contains a list of all disease entries associated with that gene. For example, SCN4A is associated with four different diseases. Many genes do not have entries, in which case a request will return “not found”. Note that the server sometimes requires a warm-up period so the first request may take longer than subsequent requests.
